Prodiscus advertises the RESPECTi as a go-to disc for stormy autumns and a good choice for forehand and overhead shots. My first go on a Baseline RESPECTi however felt more like a slightly slower and deeper profiled PD. Straight to overstable disc with good glide, great grip in cold weather.
The first run Premium RESPECTi however is from another world. It's flat as a table and the wing has cooled in a totally different way from the Baseline. The Baseline wing actually fits under the wing of the Premium when the two discs are side by side on a table. The high PLH (parting line height, height of the seam in the wing of a disc, basically the height of the wing from the surface) makes the Premium much more overstable, and has turned the wing somewhat so that it now is slightly slanted, like some Latitude or Innova +mold discs.
To put it bluntly the Premium RESPECTi is, together with the Latitude XXX, the most overstable disc I've ever thrown. XCaliber, Firebird and others simply can't compete. As soon as you let it go it starts seeking the ground. Doesn't really matter how hard you throw it nor if you throw it in a headwind. The glide is negligible. RESPECTi is a disc that does the same thing every time, in every condition. It closely reminds me of the XXX, but the RESPECTi does have a slight edge in speed, and the grip feels more comfortable in my hand.
For backhand use the RESPECTi is way too much disc for me, just silly overstable. I also can't throw forehand to save my life, so I can't comment on that. For thumbers though... It's magnificent. The longest thumber discs I've tried so far have been Champion Banshee and Firebird and Latitude's XXX. Out of these the XXX always had a slight edge. For me the RESPECTi flies just as far on further, but because the grip feels more comfortable I tend to get more consistent results with the RESPECTi.
The RESPECTi is great for bigger arms whether it's for backhand, forehand or overhead throws. Noodle arms and beginners need not apply. Baseline and Premium differ almost like night and day, so we'll see if either will get reworked in the future. If you want a seriously overstable driver or like to throw thumbers and thommies, get a first run RESPECTi.
